How long will vision correction results last?
A lot of people are hesitant to get vision correction surgery because they’re afraid that the results won’t last. They’ve heard horror stories about people who had surgery and then had to go through it again a few years later.

Are vision correction results permanent?
Vision correction surgery is permanent for the symptoms of short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism. You will see clearly for the rest of your life until your eyes age, just like everyone else.2Blum, M. et al. (2016a) Five-year results of small incision lenticule extraction (Relex Smile), British Journal of Ophthalmology. If you’re middle-aged already and have lens replacement surgery, there is no chance of developing presbyopia or cataracts down the road.
